The Manzano Monarchs softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Del Norte Knights to 0 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Manzano improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league game on Thursday, March 3. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 3-0. Atrisco Heritage Academy won 6-2 in their recent non-league game against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 1. Del Norte will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
