East Bay Indians (Gibsonton, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting DeLand Bulldogs (DeLand, FL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Durant for a non-league challenge on Monday, February 28. East Bay will face a Cougars squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Robinson (Tampa, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, DeLand falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Seabreeze (Daytona Beach, FL) to face the Sandcrabs in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 28. The Sandcrabs enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Seabreeze lost 19-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Matanzas (Palm Coast, FL)
