Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Imperial Tigers (Imperial, CA), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Sultans now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steele Canyon for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 26. Santana will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 10-4 non-league loss to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Imperial falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ) to battle the Shamrocks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Shamrocks enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Yuma Catholic lost 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against River Valley (Mohave Valley, AZ)
