The Philadelphia Tornadoes softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Leake County Gators to 14 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Philadelphia moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Tornadoes travel to Newton (Newton, MS) to play the Tigers in a game on Tuesday, March 1. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Gators play the Russell Christian Academy Warriors (Meridian, MS) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 18. Leake County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
