Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Swamp Foxes now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Socastee for a non-league challenge on Monday, February 28. Marion will battle a Braves squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Green Sea Floyds (Green Sea, SC). The Braves record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, North Myrtle Beach falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Georgetown (Georgetown, SC) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 26. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
