Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (Grand Rapids, MN), 79-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Duluth East upgrades its record to 9-16 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Hermantown (Hermantown, MN) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 22-6. Hermantown won 104-101 in their recent league bout against Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN)

Next up, the Thunderhawks play the Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN) in a AAA Section 7 bout, on Thursday, February 29. Grand Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 10-18 season record. The Hunters come into the bout with a 17-11 record after their 75-64 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, MN).
