Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the West Elk Patriots (Howard, KS) and the visiting Northeast Vikings (Arma, KS), saw West Elk's basketball squad hold off Northeast by a tally of 36-32.

With the victory, West Elk improves its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Southeast (Cherokee, KS) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 12-9. Southeast won 54-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Sedan (Sedan, KS)
