In Monday's non-league test, the visiting Newport Harbor Sailors lacrosse squad scored a tight 11-8 victory over the Portola Bulldogs.

The Sailors now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trabuco Hills for a non-league test on Thursday, February 29. Newport Harbor will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-0.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, February 28. Portola will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Aztecs come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 14-5 non-league loss to Aliso Niguel (Aliso Viejo, CA).
