The Crest Chargers baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Cherryville Ironmen to 16 in the Chargers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Chargers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burns for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. Crest will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Cherryville drops to 1-1 on the year. The Ironmen host South Point (Belmont, NC) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, February 28. The Red Raiders enter the game with a record of 0-2. South Point lost 13-9 in their recent non-league game against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC)
