The Orcutt Academy Spartans (Orcutt, CA) baseball got by the visiting Coastal Christian Conquerors (Pismo Beach, CA), 8-7 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Carpinteria for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 1. Orcutt Academy will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Santa Clara (Oxnard, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Coastal Christian drops to 0-2 on the year. The Conquerors host Caruthers (Caruthers, CA) to clash with the Blue Raiders in a non-league game on Monday, March 3. The Blue Raiders go into the game with a record of 1-1. Caruthers lost 7-0 in their recent non-league game against Washington Union (Fresno, CA)
