Spectators at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA) and the visiting Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA), witnessed Irvine's baseball team knock off Newport Harbor by a count of 8-3.

The Vaqueros now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Segerstrom for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28. Irvine will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Century (Santa Ana, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, Newport Harbor drops to 1-1 on the year. The Sailors host San Clemente (San Clemente, CA) to clash with the Tritons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 4. The Tritons go into the challenge with a record of 4-2. San Clemente lost 19-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA)
