The Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) baseball trounced the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 13-5 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln Charter for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28. Maiden will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, South Caldwell drops to 0-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 28. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. North Gaston lost 13-11 in their recent non-league challenge against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)
