The Riverdale Rebels softball squad (Jefferson, LA), was routed 16-1 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the visiting Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA)

With the triumph, Newman improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Greenies host Northshore (Slidell, LA) to face the Panthers in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 8. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 6-1.

The Rebels now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Chapelle for a non-league contest on Friday, February 28. Riverdale will face a Chipmunks squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA). The Chipmunks record now stands at 1-1.
