The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) and the host Red Rock Scorpions (Sedona, AZ), observed St. John Paul II Catholic's softball team notch a victory over Red Rock by a tally of 26-5.
The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Anthem Prep (Anthem, AZ). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Scorpions battle the Mayer Wildcats (Mayer, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 28. Red Rock will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
