The Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) baseball trounced the visiting Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), 15-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Sharks now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Ouachita Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, February 27. Southside will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-3.
The Pirates (2-8) will now prepare for their bout against Breaux Bridge (Breaux Bridge, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Breaux Bridge was overwhelmed by Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA), 6-5, in a non-league contest.
