The Lamar Vikings softball squad (Arlington, TX), was routed 22-1 in Thursday's non-league bout with the host Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX)

The Pirates (3-6) will now prepare for their bout against Ferris (Ferris, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 10-2 record. In their last bout, Ferris knocked off Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX), 10-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the South Hills Scorpions (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 27. Lamar will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record. The Scorpions go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 13-10 league win over Paschal (Fort Worth, TX).
