The Hondo Owls softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Sabinal Yellowjackets to 0 in the Owls non-league win on Thursday.

The Owls now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to D'Hanis for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 28. Hondo will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Junction (Junction, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-1.

The Yellowjackets (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Cowboys go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, D'Hanis toppled Junction (Junction, TX), 8-6, in a non-league challenge.
