In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs basketball team scored a tight 59-53 triumph over the Suffield Wildcats.
In their next game, the Chiefs meet the Foran Lions (Milford, CT) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 2. Nonnewaug will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 16-6 record after their 65-30 non-league loss to West Haven (West Haven, CT).
With the defeat, Suffield moves to 11-11 on the year.
