Pennsylvania High School Basketball - St. Joseph topped by Union Area

The Union Area Scotties basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host St. Joseph Spartans to 40 in the Scotties non-league victory on Monday.

The Scotties now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aquinas Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 4. Union Area will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 43-37 non-league win over Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 16-8.

The Spartans (20-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Bishop Canevin was defeated by Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA), 43-37, in a non-league contest.
