The Richlands Wildcats crushed the host East Carteret Mariners baseball team by a count of 11-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host South Lenoir for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 2. Richlands will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-0.
The Mariners now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Havelock for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 1. East Carteret will play a Rams squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.
