Brearley Bears (Kenilworth, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting KIPP Newark Lab Sharks (Newark, NJ), 44-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Brearley upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to University (Newark, NJ) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 29. The Phoenix come into the bout with a record of 23-3. University won 72-48 in their recent non-league bout against Belvidere (Belvidere, NJ)
