Lewisburg Patriots (Olive Branch, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Union for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. Lewisburg will battle a Urchins squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Urchins record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Corinth falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Alcorn Central (Glen, MS) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Alcorn Central lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS)
