The Higley Knights softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Independence Patriots to 0 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Higley moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights travel to El Dorado (El Paso, TX) to clash with the Aztecs in a non-league game on Thursday, February 29. The Aztecs come into the game with a record of 9-6. El Dorado won 13-1 in their recent league game against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, February 28. Independence will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 20-6 non-league loss to Ironwood (Glendale, AZ).
