The Sumner Stingrays softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Hillsborough Terriers to 0 in the Stingrays non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Sumner improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Stingrays host Plant (Tampa, FL) to clash with the Panthers in a 7A District 7 game on Thursday, February 29. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 3-0. Plant won 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Gaither (Tampa, FL)

In their next game, the Terriers clash with the Leto Falcons (Tampa, FL) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 1. Hillsborough will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 19-3 non-league win over Blake (Tampa, FL).
