Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA), 11-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fontainebleau for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 28. Sumner will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Pearl River falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Pine (Franklinton, LA) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Pine lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA)
