The Pope Greyhounds baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Archer Tigers to 0 in the Greyhounds non-league win on Thursday.
The Greyhounds now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harrison for a non-league test on Friday, February 28. Pope will clash with a Hoyas team coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Druid Hills (Atlanta, GA). The Hoyas record now stands at 5-4.
With the defeat, Archer drops to 5-2 on the year. The Tigers host South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA) to clash with the Comets in a 6A Area 4 test on Friday, February 28. The Comets go into the test with a record of 1-3. South Gwinnett lost 14-4 in their recent league test against Archer (Lawrenceville, GA)
