In Thursday's non-league game, the host John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers baseball team scored a close 9-7 win over the Chilton County Tigers.
The Cavaliers (2-5) will now prepare for their game against McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, McGill-Toolen nudged Bryant (Irvington, AL), 5-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tigers play the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 4. Chilton County will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the game with a 6-3 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Marbury (Marbury, AL).
