The Jay Mustangs baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars to 2 in the Mustangs non-league win on Thursday.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Floresville for a non-league test on Friday, February 28.

With the defeat, Pflugerville Connally drops to 0-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Navarro (Geronimo, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, February 28. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 2-0. Navarro won 7-2 in their recent non-league test against Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX)
