The Sinton Pirates baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Taft Raiders to 3 in the Pirates non-league win on Thursday.

The Pirates now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Almeta Crawford for a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. Sinton will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Terry (Rosenberg, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Taft drops to 2-3 on the year. The Raiders travel to Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, February 28. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 2-1. Hidalgo lost 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX)
