The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) and the visiting Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), observed North Marion's basketball team edge Liberty by a score of 47-45.

The Huskies (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Grafton (Grafton, WV). The Bearcats come into the Big Ten challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, Grafton edged Hampshire (Romney, WV), 53-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers encounter the Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 1. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 60-55 league win over Pendleton County (Franklin, WV).
