The Lakewood Spartans flag football team (St. Petersburg, FL), was tipped 13-6 in Thursday's league bout with the host Boca Ciega Pirates (Gulfport, FL)

With the win, Boca Ciega advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Pirates host East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, March 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-2.

The Spartans now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Hollins for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 4. Lakewood will encounter a Royals team coming off a 25-2 non-league loss to Pinellas Park (Largo, FL). The Royals record now stands at 0-1.
