Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) and the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), saw Cape Fear Academy's soccer squad knock off New Hanover by a count of 3-0.

The Hurricanes (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Greenfield (Wilson, NC). The Knights enter the NCISAA Coastal Plain battle with a 2-0 record.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 4. New Hanover will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Centurions go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Croatan (Newport, NC).
