In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Apex Cougars lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-5 triumph over the Broughton Capitals.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle go into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Capitals clash with the Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 4. Broughton will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
