Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) and the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), saw Towns County's soccer squad triumph over Commerce by a count of 7-1.

The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Greene County (Greensboro, GA). The Tigers enter the 1A D-II Area 5 battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Greene County was overwhelmed by Commerce (Commerce, GA), 8-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) in a 1A D-I Area 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Commerce will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Hart County (Hartwell, GA).
