Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 9-6 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central Cabarrus upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Carson (China Grove, NC) to play the Cougars in a South Piedmont 3A game on Friday, February 28. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 1-0. Carson won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Statesville (Statesville, NC)
The Tigers now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Northwest Cabarrus for a non-league game on Monday, March 3. Mount Pleasant will play a Trojans squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
