Next, the Lions meet the Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 28. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Van (Van, TX).

The Cougars (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Coldspring-Oakhurst edged Tarkington (Cleveland, TX), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
