The Mt. Pleasant Tigers edged the host Troup Tigers softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Van Vandals (Van, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 27. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Vandals enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX).
The Tigers (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Fightin' Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Jacksonville was nudged by Marshall (Marshall, TX), 17-6, in a non-league match.
