In Thursday's non-league match, the host Odessa Bronchos softball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Walnut Grove Wildcats.
The Bronchos (5-8) will now prepare for their match against Midway (Waco, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Midway tipped Midlothian (Midlothian, TX), 8-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 28. Walnut Grove will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the match with a 5-5 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Forney (Forney, TX).
