In Thursday's non-league match, the host Red Oak Hawks softball team scored a tight 6-5 win over the Peaster Greyhounds.
The Hawks (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Palmer was nipped by Ennis (Ennis, TX), 10-4, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Greyhounds battle the Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 28. Peaster will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 14-6 non-league loss to Teague (Teague, TX).
