The Stanton Buffaloes baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Angelo Prep to 7 in the Buffaloes non-league win on Friday.

The Buffaloes now have a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kermit for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 3. Stanton will clash with a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Big Spring (Big Spring, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-7.

With the defeat, Angelo Prep drops to 3-1 on the year. The travel to Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 28. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Grape Creek won 20-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy (Midland, TX)
