The Franklinton Demons baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Sumner Cowboys to 1 in the Demons non-league win on Friday.
The Demons now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Edna Karr for a non-league test on Saturday, February 28. Franklinton will play a Cougars team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-8.
The Cowboys (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA). The Cardinals enter the non-league outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Belle Chasse was overwhelmed by Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA), 7-2, in a non-league outing.
