California High School Baseball - Merced edged by Ripon

The Merced Bears baseball squad (Merced, CA), was edged 3-2 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA)

With the triumph, Ripon moves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Indians travel to Tokay (Lodi, CA) to face the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 28. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 2-4. Tokay lost 11-1 in their recent non-league battle against Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV)

Next, the Bears face the Modesto Panthers (Modesto, CA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 2. Merced will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 15-12 non-league loss to Ben Holt College Prep Academy (Stockton, CA).
