The Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) baseball nipped the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC), 6-5 in Monday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Red Devils play the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, March 2. Newton-Conover will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Red Tornadoes go into the game with a 1-0 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC).
