Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots (Grant, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL), 11-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Patriots now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Guntersville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. Kate Duncan Smith DAR will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Sardis (Boaz, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-3.
With the loss, St. John Paul II falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Randolph School (Huntsville, AL) to battle the Raiders in a 4A Area 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
