North Carolina High School Baseball - Independence gets by Pine Lake Prep

February 28, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC), 5-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hough (Cornelius, NC) to battle the Huskies in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 1. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 1-0. Hough won 14-4 in their recent non-league test against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC)

With the defeat, Pine Lake Prep falls to 0-1 on the season. The Pride travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, March 2. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 1-0. South Caldwell won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)
