Michigan High School Basketball - Athens holds off Battle Creek Academy

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Athens Indians (Athens, MI) and the visiting Battle Creek Academy Tigers (Battle Creek, MI), saw Athens's basketball squad hold off Battle Creek Academy by a tally of 40-34.
With the victory, Athens improves its record to 1-19 on the campaign. The Indians travel to North Adams-Jerome (North Adams, MI) to confront the Rams in a Southern Central challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-16.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Calhoun Christian Cougars (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 6. Battle Creek Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record.
