Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Charlotte Orioles (Charlotte, MI), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Harper Creek upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Waverly (Lansing, MI) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 2. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 16-5. Waverly won 55-47 in their recent league bout against DeWitt (DeWitt, MI)

Next up, the Orioles play the Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 2. Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Mounties come into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 73-56 non-league win over Columbia Central (Brooklyn, MI).
