The Hancock Bulldogs basketball team (Hancock, MI), was nudged 61-57 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Watersmeet Nimrods (Watersmeet, MI)
The Nimrods now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chassell for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 2. Watersmeet will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-36 league loss to Dollar Bay (Dollar Bay, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 2-15.
The Bulldogs (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Calumet (Calumet, MI). The Copper Kings come into the Western Peninsula battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Calumet was nudged by Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI), 55-45, in a non-league battle.
