In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones basketball team scored a decisive 61-38 triumph over the Republic County Buffaloes.

In their next game, the Cyclones meet the Valley Heights Mustangs (Blue Rapids, KS) in a non-league match, on Friday, March 3. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will attempt to better on its 18-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 13-8 record after their 65-23 non-league win over Blue Valley (Randolph, KS).

With the defeat, Republic County moves to 0-21 on the year.
