Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 6. Mallard Creek will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC).
The Pumas now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Sun Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. Palisades will confront a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.
